Los Angeles based massage and healing arts courses can now be scheduled at your place or ours!  One of the best things you can do for your business is make it a place of learning and great talent.  Having monthly trainings and gatherings not only strengthen your product and brand by delivering a better therapist, but it helps with group camaraderie.  Let me know how I can help motivate and rejuvenate your staff and brand for success!
 
Local Corporate Special:  $5,000.00 for 48 hours of training, recommended 4 hours monthly.  Can pick your topics.  This is hands-on training and learning.  1 topic per 4 hours.
 
Away locations please call our office for a complimentary quote.  Average pricing is $5,000/week plus amenities, food, air fare, room and transportation or other expenses incurred necessary for completing training.  Forty hours – 60 hours work week, certificates of completion and proficiency given to attendees and to spa location.  Spa locations will be given the right to use my training for promotions and lectures and guest appearances may be arranged to help spa gain market interest and keep an interesting menu of services and a staff that has ability and training in reaching your goals of customer service.  I recommend 1 topic a day for some back-ups to teach if your group moves quickly. 
 
     
1) History of Massage & The Healing Arts:  Learn the history of massage and the healing arts from around the world.  A fascinating journey starting from the beginning of time and traveling to where we are today.  We’ll study East and West theories and pioneers.  You’ll be able to communicate more information to your clientele and have the knowledge of your field.
 
     
2) The Therapeutic Relationship:  Professional Standards and Boundaries:  How to set your standards and boundaries and not cross the line with difficult clients or co-workers.  Develop and build a strong therapeutic relationship with your world.  Learn tips for engaging and getting referrals from your local medical community.  Enjoy the rewards this course will give you.
 
     
3) The Professional Therapist’s Toy & Tool Chest:  Play with all types of healing arts and massage tools.  Fun to use and interesting for your clientele.  Information pertaining to the history of massage tools and how to use and integrate these devices into your practice to add color and save to your already tired hands and arms.
 
     
4) Health, Hygiene, Sanitation & Safety:  Important must-know information regarding you and your client ‘s health and safety.  A basic course chocked full of good information every therapist should know.  Subjects on how to deal with contagious disease  how to treat an AIDS client; working with foot fungus; acne, and more.  We discuss what to look for and how to keep you free from disease and danger.  A must-know for the professional.
 
     
5) Indications and Contraindications of Massage:  When NOT to perform a treatment is important.  Learn when massage is indicated and when it is not.  Learn what styles of therapy to perform for certain conditions.  Heart disease, diabetes, pregnancy, flu and colds, menopause and other conditions are discussed.  A must for the professional therapist.
 
     
6) Body Mechanics and Table Presentation:  Use your body properly and you’ll have not only work smarter, but longer.  Less pain, aches, and focus on injury prevention basics. Table set-up and presentation will also be covered.  How to professionally set your table for optimal visual, atmosphere and professionalism.  Definitely a must-know subject to save your body.
 
     
7) Client Intake, Notes and SOAP Charting: Develop the skills necessary to perform a comprehensive, professional, thorough intake.  Learn how to chart and take notes on your client’s personal and medical history, their goals, sessions and progress.  Learn the basics of “SOAP” charting for professional record keeping.  Proper noting and charting are essential for the professional therapist.  
     
 8) The Human Body:  The human body is a fascinating subject.  When working with the human body it is important to understand it and learn how it functions.  We discuss the 10 different bodily systems and how the body operates in health and disease.  
 
     
9) Your Client’s Skin:  The skin of your client is most important in choosing the proper product and/or up-selling your client to another, better product, for his/her skin type.  Learn about oily, dry and combination skin types as well as how to address certain types of “do not touch” skin conditions such as acne, broken skin, fungus and more as well as black skin versus Caucasian skin, Asian skin and transparent skin…  Scarred skin, acne skin, eczema or any other skin problem or disease.

14) Musical Accompaniments:  You’ll tour through the musical selections from Kitaro to Gabrielle Roth.  A fun way to explore what works with your mind and what works with your energy.  Movements are precise to fit the emotional portion of the created service.  
     
15) Special Needs Of Seniors, Teens & Handi-capped:  Special needs clients are always a part of our business and a being comfortable in how to handle these special needs groups can make all the difference in their experience as well as your own experience.  You are a professional and your reputation will reflect this.  Learn how to accommodate special needs client and expand your market.  Helpful and informative.
